Born and raised in the middle of the Port of Rotterdam, I have always had a huge interest in maritime transport and port operations. With my background in port processes, ICT, consultancy and community building, I have been able to acquire a large international network and have grown into a reliable advisor to CEO's, boards of directors, management teams and government officials.
During my career, I have been working in a variety of roles ranging from information specialist, information analyst, business analyst, product owner, projectmanager and business consultant in strategy & innovation, always looking at the latest trends and translating them to visions, strategies or business needs. A large
part of my career, I have worked for Portbase, the Dutch Port Community System
(PCS) where my main focus has been in leading the interaction and positioning of
the Dutch port community system within the Dutch Maritime Single Window
environment. On behalf of Portbase I took part in the Executive Committee of
the International Port Community Systems Association (IPCSA), was leading the
Single Window area of interest of IPCSA and participated as an expert in
UN/CEFACT in the domains of Transport & Logistics and Single Window.
